The bit of O'Connell st between Abbey St and the river has a cycle track seperated from the buses by posts. (I took a photo but I'd say it amounts to about 25m so it's a start. However I know from experience on Stephen's Green that these posts aren't so hardy. I narrowly avoided decapitation by one a couple of years back. They get easily skewed, it got hit by a bus and went flying. I ducked and lived to tell the tale.
