The Elf in Amsterdam

This is the home of an Irish Elf … an economic migrant in the Land of Cheese, Hash and Bikes!

I began blogging in Feb ’08 with the intent of  using it to chart my thoughts and adventures, moving from Dublin to live in Amsterdam for a while.

I had lived in Dublin for 7 years and I was given an amazing opportunity to move and start a new life experiment.
Arriving on 22nd March 2008 having never visited the city before and knowing no one, this is a great adventure and one I wanted to share and keep in blog form.

I use this blog to vent, rant, celebrate and document all that goes on in the life of  the Elf in Amsterdam, with some added bizarreness and links to the WWW’s weird and wonderful

Because I’m a contrary Elf who cant make a decision for nuts, I had two blogs, this one… and this one.
But now I live here! My wonderful blog moving buddy comes highly recommended, so if you are looking for something more permanent, ask and I’ll supply the info.

I was pretty crap at keeping it up to date, until I went to the Irish Blog Awards in Feb 09, and was inspired by all the wonderful bloggers there. Shortly after I entered into a 40posts of Lent challenge with some Blog/Twitters, and the routine of blogging pretty much everyday is one I really enjoy.

Seen something you think I’d like? Want to chat? or would like to be included on the Drinky Links?
